Even before the coronavirus pandemic, Wonder Woman 1984 had trouble hanging on to a date. The film’s original release date was December 14, 2019, before it was moved up to November 1, 2019. Subsequently, the film was pushed back to June 5, 2020. The COVID-19 shutdown led to an August 14 date. However, Warner Bros. is no longer planning to hold on to that date. Instead, Wonder Woman 1984 will now open on Friday, October 2.
Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot, weighed in on the move in her Twitter account.
