The first official logo for James Gunn‘s Superman, which is scheduled to arrive in theaters on July 11, 2025, was revealed to fans recently at the 2024 Tokyo Comic Con. The movie is seven months away from hitting theaters across the globe. Yet, fans are already hyped up to see David Corenswet as the Kryptonian. Superman is expected to be a cinematic kick-off to the new DC Universe after the new animated show, Creature Commandos, which premiered on Max on December 5.
Superman 2025 gets first official logo and title font
The first official logo of Superman was displayed to fans at the Tokyo Comic-Con, held in Makuhari Messe, Chiba City.
Fans were greeted with a display card at the event, showing the logo and the title of the movie in a different style than the previous one. The filming for James Gunn’s Superman has officially wrapped up and fans have been anticipating that promotional materials for the movie will start to be released soon. Previously, the co-CEO of DC Studios had stated that the trailer for the 2025 movie is ready and will be released soon.
In a photo shared by user @DCFilmNews on X (formerly Twitter), the card had a blue backdrop with the “S” symbol of Superman in red and yellow hues. Furthermore, the title of the movie and the year were written in bold silver font. Earlier in February, Isabela Merced shared a glimpse of the Superman logo during the first table read of the movie.
James Gunn has not revealed many details about the movie or glimpses into the production. However, he did share an Instagram photo with the cast after finishing filming in July 2024. He wrote, “I set out to make a movie about a good man in a world that isn’t always so much. And the goodness and kindness and love I’ve encountered on a daily basis on the set has inspired me.” Gunn further asserted that the filming process was emotional and full of laughter.
