Fans have been finally blessed with the Superman teaser trailer and they can’t stop gushing over Krypto the Superdog coming to save the day for Man of Steel. Coming to theaters across the world on July 11, 2025, Superman, starring Twisters fame actor David Corenswet in the titular role, will kickstart the first phase of James Gunn’s new DC Universe.
DC fans are raving Krypto’s DCU debut in Superman teaser trailer
DC Studios debuted the trailer of Superman on YouTube on December 19 and fans got a glimpse at Corenswet’s Superman. While it packed many surprises, the glimpse of Krypto has caught the attention of fans.
In the teaser trailer, fans witness a bloodied and beaten-up Superman getting assistance from his Superdog, Krypto. After he successfully manages to whistle, a visual of Krypto appears dashing toward him in the trailer. Superman then offers his cape to Krypto and tells him, “Take me home.”
Many fans stormed to X (formerly Twitter) to praise Krypto for his powerful debut in the trailer. One fan referred to the moment from the trailer and wrote, “This literally gave me goosebumps. We get KRYPTO!!!!”
Another user labeled the scene of Krypto saving Superman as their favorite and wrote, “I had zero expectations, but Superman surprised me and the trailer looks good. My favorite part is Super Dog helps Superman!”
Meanwhile, a third user shared screenshots of the scene from the trailer and stated that they “loved Everything about the new #Superman Trailer.” They further added that the scene with “Krypto that really made me feel the happiness and love I get from reading a Superman comic. I truly can’t believe James Gunn was able to capture this.”
Additionally, a fourth fan seemed in awe of Krypto. They wrote in their post, “Krypto’s saving the world and looking adorable doing it!” The teaser trailer of Superman also shows other characters like Rachel Brosnahan’s Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor.
