Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts movie is coming to theaters two months earlier than originally expected.
Disney and Marvel Studios announced in a press release that Thunderbolts, which was originally scheduled to be released on June 25, 2025, will now hit theaters on May 2, 2025.
Directed by Jake Schreier, Thunderbolts stars Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Wyatt Russell as John Walker/U.S. Agent, Olga Kurylenko as Antonia Dreykov/Task Master, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen as Ava/Starr Ghost/ Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, and Harrison Ford as Thaddeus Ross.
Geraldine Viswanathan is also playing an undisclosed role, while Lewis Pullman is reportedly being eyed to replace Steven Yeun as the Sentry.
Marvel announces the cast of The Fantastic Four
Per Variety, the cast of Marvel’s upcoming Fantastic Four has been officially announced.
Following much online speculation, Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us, The Mandalorian) will play Reed Richards in the forthcoming superhero movie. Vanessa Kirby (Mission: Impossible, Napoleon) has been cast as Sue Storm/the Invisible Woman, while Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things) will play her brother, Johnny Storm/the Human Torch. Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Bear, Andor), meanwhile, has been cast as Ben Grimm/the Thing. The role of Victor von Doom/Doctor Doom has not yet been cast.
Marvel confirmed the casting news in a post on the official Marvel Studios Twitter account. “Happy Valentine’s Day from Marvel’s First Family! Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn are The Fantastic Four,” the tweet reads.”
Originally believed to be titled Fantastic Four, the movie — which is directed by Matt Shakman with a screenplay by Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer — is now titled The Fantastic Four.
The Fantastic Four is switching release dates with Thunderbolts, as the movie was originally supposed to be released on May 2, 2025, but now moves to June 25, 2025.
