Rachel Weisz Shares Fun Facts About Her Black Widow Co-Stars

With 10 days to go until Black Widow’s release, Marvel has released a new promo that shows one of the film’s stars dishing the dirt on her onscreen family. The studio enlisted its resident “spy on the inside,” Rachel Weisz (Melina Vostokoff) to answer several questions about her co-stars. Check it out for yourself below.

When asked who did the most research on their character, Weisz immediately named the film’s headliner, Scarlett Johansson. This shouldn’t come as a surprise, since she’s had more than a decade to prepare for her own standalone MCU feature. But when it came time to reveal who was most likely to break during a scene, the Oscar-winning Weisz had to bestow that honor on herself.

It certainly sounds like Black Widow was a fun set to be on. Weisz also shared that co-star David Harbour (Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian) was the most likely to pull pranks during filming, calling him “the living embodiment of pranking us.”

However, when asked which member of the cast was most like their character, Weisz was at a loss. Since highly-trained assassins who bump elbows with superheroes don’t exist in the real world, it’s admittedly hard to find common ground there. Regardless, Weisz was able to say who’s the least like their character without any hesitation.

“I am nothing like my character, Melina,” said Weisz. “I’m immensely fond of her. I had to journey, like, a long way to be her, which is great. It’s very fun to play a character who’s not like you.”

Black Widow hits theaters and Disney+ Premier Access on July 9.
