Grawp and Hedwig Highlight LEGO’s August 2020 Harry Potter Sets

It may be a while before we once again see J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World on a big screen. Or anything on a big screen, for that matter. But thanks to LEGO, this summer we’ll have more tools to re-create those adventures at home. The company just revealed several new August 2020 Harry Potter sets, which should be up for preorder shortly. Minifigs included with the sets include Dolores Umbridge, Luna Lovegood, Fenrir Greyback, and the Dursley and Weasley families. But perhaps the highlight when it comes to new characters is an in-scale buildable Grawp, Hagrid’s full-giant half-brother.

In a larger scale, Barnes and Noble get an exclusive buildable Hedwig with mechanical action. Smaller minifigs of Harry and his owl come with it for scale, but the articulation on the model is a highlight. Outside of the U.S., other retailers besides the book giant will carry the set as well. Other sets depicting film scenes include the Dursley house, the Weasley house, Hogwarts’ astronomy tower and room of requirement, and the Forbidden Forest. Details like a sliding wall for the room of requirement, and the flying car and Dobby at 4 Privet Drive, make the sets feel movie-authentic. And the Hogwarts sets connect with others to make home castle displays extra massive.

If you’re going to be confined to the house, why not make it Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, or Slytherin? Check out the full gallery below and get a gander at the sets that could give your home all the points. Which one is best? Apparate your choice in comments below.
