Following its initial announcement at San Diego Comic-Con this summer, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3’s first DLC pack is here. The Marvel Knights: Curse of the Vampire DLC is finally available for the hit Nintendo Switch game. It includes four fan favorite heroes: Blade, The Punisher, Morbius, and Moon Knight. Based on the brief gameplay footage below, they look like they bring lots of options to the table.
This ties in with the game’s latest update, which offers a few treats even for those who haven’t purchased the new expansion. A new “Nightmare” difficulty setting will challenge even the best heroes. Additionally, a new Gauntlet Mode is available, with Nintendo describing it as follows: “Up to four players take on a frenzied series of co-op challenges in rapid succession to earn rewards. Once you’ve cleared a Gauntlet, you will unlock a survival-style version of it with continuous waves of challenges. Find out how long you can last and see how your score stacks up with online rankings.”

Finally, there are new skins available for characters already in the game, including a few surprises that weren’t announced. These include the traditional Super Soldier appearance for Steve Rogers/Captain America; the Thrice-Blessed Armor for Black Panther; the Extremis Armor for Iron Man; and the Ultimate Thor. These costumes will be available once the new update has been downloaded.
Players interested in Curse of the Vampire can buy it as part of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3’s season pass. It’s available for $20, but the DLC packs aren’t available separately. Future DLC packs will put the spotlight on the Fantastic Four and the X-Men.
