It’s been a while since fans last saw him, but Larry Crock is back in Blue Valley. In the recently released promo for the upcoming fourth episode of Stargirl season 2, the villain known as Sportsmaster will visit Courtney’s house. The events of the freshman season’s finale saw the Crock and the rest of the bad guys from the Injustice Society defeated at the hands of the Justice Society of America members. Crock and his wife, Paula, were then arrested for theft as fans discovered in the season 2 premiere.
Now, it seems that Sportsmaster has escaped from prison and is getting his hands on the young Mike Dugan. Of course, Tigress will always be at her husband’s side. In the meantime, Artemis, the daughter of the villainous couple, is doing her best to convince Courtney of her parents’ innocence.

Lea Thompson directed the episode written by Taylor Steitz. The official synopsis for “Summer School: Chapter Four” reads:
“THE DEVIL IN THE SHADOWS — As Pat (Luke Wilson) considers whether he should come clean to Courtney (Brec Bassinger) about Eclipso’s past, a surprise visit from Crock (Neil Hopkins) and Paula (Joy Osmanski) catches him and Barbara off guard. A tense run-in with The Shade (Jonathan Cake) provides Courtney with some valuable information. Finally, Cindy (Meg DeLacy) makes her move. Amy Smart, Yvette Monreal, Cameron Gellman, Anjelika Washington and Trae Romano also star.”
The next episode of Stargirl season 2 premieres on The CW on Aug. 31.
