Star Wars fans felt something good in the Force, and a new photo featuring its creator and a lovable new icon has gone viral. Earlier this week, The Mandalorian showrunner, Jon Favreau, tweeted out a photo of George Lucas holding the Child/Baby Yoda.

Since the photo was posted, it’s gotten high praise from members of the Star Wars community. Joonas Suotamo, (Chewbacca from the newest Star Wars trilogy), gave it a thumbs up.

“George put Baby Yoda down.”
“No.”
“George we need it for shooting.”
“No it’s mine now.”
“George please we need to film.”
“Make another one this one is mine.”
“George come back please!”— Chillguy / COMMISSIONS CLOSED / #TeenTitansSeason6 (@Chillguydraws) January 17, 2020
So far, the photo received more than 558,000 likes — and it’s still on the rise. Somehow, we suspect that the demand for nore Baby Yoda merchandise will still be alive and well when it finally arrives this year.

Last month, Favreau promised that season 2 would also premiere later this year on Disney+. Additionally, Favreau teased a new character who resembles a Gamorrean Guard from Return of the Jedi.
