Marvel’s Ghost Rider may not be going forward at Hulu, but its other horror series has lined up its primary cast. Via Deadline, Helstrom has cast Tom Austen and Sydney Lemmon as Daimon Helstrom and his sister, Ana Helstrom. In 1973, Roy Thomas and artist Gary Friedrich introduced Daimon as Marvel’s Son of Satan. His sister went by the more sinister name, Satana.
Within the new Hulu series, Daimon Helstrom is “a professor of ethics who moonlights as an exorcist, Daimon has no illusions about saving a world he has no patience for; he just hopes he can help a few of the people closest to him. In his battle against a hidden world, Daimon is also determined to root out demons as they arise, and will not stop until they’re vanquished.” As for Ana Helstrom, she “runs a successful auction house and suffers no fools, but her true interest lies in hunting down those who hurt others. Traumatized by her father as a child, Ana is driven to rid the world of those like him, even as she secretly worries her father will return.”
Austen is a veteran of The Royals, while Lemmon previously appeared in Fear the Walking Dead. Homeland‘s Elizabeth Marvel will play Victoria Helstrom, the estranged and institutionalized mother of Daimon and Ana.

Robert Wisdom, June Carryl, Ariana Guerra, and Alian Uy are rounding out the cast. Wisdom will portray Caretaker, the guardian of occult knowledge who mentors Ana. Carryl is stepping into the role of Dr. Louise Hastings, a psychologist who has treated Victoria Helstrom for twenty years. Gurerra will play Gabriella Rosetti, a Vatican operative who wants to help Daimon save the world and himself. Finally, Uy will portray Chris Yen, Ana’s business partner and surrogate brother.
