Paul Bettany reveals he’ll watch Agatha All Along to film Vision series next year
Paul Bettany recently confirmed that production on Marvel’s upcoming Vision series will start next year.
Bettany, who reprises his role as Vision, told The Hollywood Reporter at the Loss Angeles premiere of his film Here that “we’re cooking up something that I’m really excited about,” though he withheld further plot details, humorously adding that “snitches end up in ditches.”
The series is reportedly set for a Disney+ release in 2026, with Star Trek: Picard showrunner Terry Matalas overseeing the project. Bettany also expressed enthusiasm for the WandaVision spinoff Agatha All Along, sharing, “I love it. I love it and I’m so proud of [showrunner] Jac Schaeffer, and I am going to watch again because there’s so much for me to learn moving forward into my contribution.”
The Vision series is informally called Vision Quest. Originally announced with Jac Schaeffer as showrunner, Terry Matalas has since taken over. However, Schaeffer confirmed to ComicBook in September that she is “not involved, but…entirely rooting for it,” adding, “Paul’s a dear friend and he’s an extraordinary person. He owns this character.”
James Spader is confirmed to return to voice Ultron, who last appeared in Avengers: Age of Ultron as a sentient defense program turned villain. Additionally, Todd Stashwick is cast as “an assassin who is on the trail of [the titular] android and the technology he possesses.”
For now, Bettany features in Here, directed by Robert Zemeckis, with Tom Hanks and Robin Wright. Agatha All Along is streaming on Disney+, with the finale scheduled for October 30, 2024. Additionally, Marvel’s Vision series is expected to premiere in 2026.
