In order to save his wife’s life, Jefferson Pierce was ready to do anything, even making an uneasy alliance with the ASA. In the latest Black Lightning episode, the unusual party formed by Jefferson’s family and the secretive government organization made their way up to Markovia. There were several moments when the mission to rescue Lynn was about to fail. Eventually, Jefferson managed to save the neuroscientist from the clutches of her captives. But now it seems that the Markovians want to give the citizens of Freeland a taste of their own medicine.
From the latest promo released by The CW, it looks like it’s up to Black Lightning to lead Freeland’s defense against the invaders. But the price for the safety of the city may turn out to be very high since several bodies lay already on the battlefield. Benny Boom directed the episode written by Brusta Brown & John Mitchell Todd. The synopsis of “The Book of War: Chapter One: Homecoming” reads as follows:
“As the battle continues, old alliances are revisited and new alliances forged. Cress Williams, Nafessa Williams, China Anne McClain, Christine Adams, James Remar, Damon Gupton, Marvin Jones III and Jordan Calloway also star.”
