Norman Alden, the voice of Aquaman, Passes Away at 87

THR is reporting that character actor Norman Alden passed away on July 27th from natural causes in Los Angeles at the age of 87.

Appearing in a multitude of films, television shows, and commercials throughout his career, a number that his family puts at about 2500, Alden is probably best known to our readers as the voice of Aquaman in the original Super Friends cartoon and The All-New Super Friends Hour. He also provided the voice of Kranix and Arblus in the original Transformers movie and one of the Joker’s henchmen in the original Batman TV series.

A celebration of his life will be held in Los Angeles in August and in Fort Worth in September. The family asks that donations in Alden’s name be made to TCU’s drama department, the department of cardiology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles or the Frostig Center in Pasadena.
