Disney has released a brand new trailer for the upcoming Artemis Fowl movie. The film should have followed the usual run after its May 29 theatrical debut. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, though, Disney has decided to release the movie straight on Disney+ on June 12. And given the closure of almost all theaters around the world, this may be just the first in a long list of cases.
The new trailer features some fresh footage of the titular twelve-year-old mastermind. Fans got also a closer look at some of Artemis’s companions, such as Josh Gad’s Mulch Diggums. The trailer teases a great war that will go down in the Fowl manor. An army full of creatures from another world will test the young protagonist. In the books, Artemis kidnaps a fairy to restore his family’s fortune. Judging from both trailers released, the movie will take a different path from the beloved book by Eoin Colfer.
