Disney Will Open Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Reservations Later This Year

Last year, Disney Parks wowed Star Wars fans with the many impressive trappings of Galaxy’s Edge. However, the upcoming launch of Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser aims to make their trip even more immersive. And now, we have a better idea of when they can book their stay. Collider brings word that Disney will start taking reservations for their LARPing-infused Star Wars hotel experience later this year.

The company didn’t provide a specific date for when fans can sign up to be a part of this experience, which takes place aboard a starship called the Halcyon. Instead, they posted a video that shares new details about what guests can expect when they arrive. Walt Disney Imagineering Executive Producer Ann Morrow Johnson walks viewers through various aspects of their visit. Guests will pull up to a “cruise terminal” and be escorted into a launch capsule. This will simulate the act of rocketing into space and docking on the Halcyon. From here, they’ll set out to “become the hero of their own Star Wars adventure.”

The video also features new concept art that shows off what Disney’s Imagineers are planning for the ship’s interior. In the atrium, visitors can interact with a handful of recognizable creatures and characters, including a few stormtroopers. Eventually, they’ll retire to their spacious cabins. But given the amount of things to do on the Halcyon, relaxation will probably be the furthest thing from their minds. Among other activities, fans can train in lightsaber combat and serve as an officer on the Halcyon’s bridge. Additionally, the experience will include a sojourn to Black Spire Outpost on Batuu, the Outer Rim world represented by Galaxy’s Edge.

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will officially open in 2021. You can check out the new teaser for the hotel experience below, then tell us what you think in the comment section!
