A new Birds of Prey clip has been released, featuring Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) and company brawling with Black Mask’s goons. Although the scene only lasts 30 seconds, it showcases the fun, exciting tone the movie is aiming for.
In the clip, Harley, alongside Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell), and Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez), hold off the thugs in Black Mask’s club. Cassandra Cain (Ella Jas Basco) is also present, but she merely stays out of the way.
There are also some creative touches in the fight, including the use of a large rubber hand, and Quinn’s trademark mallet. Along the way, there’s also a humorous exchange of a hair clip, which Black Canary uses to her advantage.

This scene is well choreographed, and there may be a good reason for that. Last week, director Cathy Yan spoke about the way John Wick‘s Chad Stahelski came on board to spice up the action scenes. This clip might be an example of what he had to offer.
Birds of Prey will hit theaters on Friday, February 7.
