On Earth-65, it was Gwen Stacy who gained spider-powers and Peter Parker who died a tragic death. This Spider-Gwen, also known as Ghost-Spider, recently tried to start a new life for herself on Earth-616. Now she’s gearing up for her biggest adventure ever and an unlikely team-up with Loki in space.
The upcoming storyline, dubbed Ghost-Spider Beyond, will take place within the monthly Spider-Gwen comic book. It will be written by Stephanie Phillips, with artwork by Paolo Villanelli. It will also feature a cover by Mark Brooks, featuring a new space-suit variant costume for Gwen.

Ghost-Spider Beyond culmination of current Spider-Gwen series
The story will find Gwen traveling into deep space as part of a cosmic quest. This will bring her into contention with Loki, after she acquires a great power that the God of Mischief sought for himself. This, in turn, leads to an unlikely partnership, as Loki tries to convince Ghost-Spider to surrender this power of her own free will. Unfortunately for Loki, Gwen knows all about what great power requires, and she’s not about to hand it off to Loki.
“I envisioned a Gwen and Loki storyline from the beginning of my work on Gwen,” noted Phillips. ” So this arc feels like the culmination of everything we’ve been building toward. Taking Gwen to space has allowed us to explore some unexpected elements of her character, especially as her optimism and hope clashes with Loki’s nihilism. Paolo and I have worked hard to make this a unique sci-fi adventure—one that’s dark and very personal to Gwen.”
