After helping to bring Preacher and The Boys to television, Seth Rogen is about to add another comic book adaptation to his resume. Via The Hollywood Reporter, Rogen is teaming up with Shazam! Director David F. Sandberg on a series based on Rick Remender and Tony Moore’s comic book, Fear Agent.
Remender and Moore launched Fear Agent in 2005 through Image Comics. However, it eventually switched homes to Dark Horse Comics. The comic centered on Heath Huston, a hard-drinking reluctant hero and the member of the Fear Agents. For six years, Remender, Moore, and Jerome Opena chronicled Heath’s dark sci-fi adventures across the universe before Fear Agent concluded its 32-issue run.

Apparently, there was a tense bidding war for the rights to produce Fear Agent. THR’s sources say that Peacock, TNT, and HBO Max were all interested, but Amazon ultimately won out. News of Fear Agent’s development comes just after Remender signed a three-year overall deal with Sony Pictures Television. Remender and Moore are executive producing the series with Lotta Losten. Rogen will also executive produce through his Point Grey Productions banner alongside Evan Goldberg and James Weaver.
Josh Fagen is overseeing Fear Agent for Point Grey. The series is still without a release date.
