Antony Starr Reveals if He’s Voicing Homelander in Mortal Kombat 1

The Boys star Antony Starr has revealed whether or not he’ll be voicing the terrifying superhuman Homelander in Mortal Kombat 1.

In the comments of an Instagram post on his own account, Starr was asked if he’ll be voicing Homelander in Mortal Kombat 1. The character was announced to be part of the first Season Pass for the NetherRealm Studios fighting game alongside fellow comic characters Omni-Man and Peacemaker.

The actor responded to the question frankly with a simple “nope,” confirming he is not set to reprise his role from The Boys in the video game. This comes as a surprise to fans, as J.K. Simmons — the voice of Omni-Man in the Prime Video animated adaptation of Invincible — was brought back to play his character.

When is Homelander coming to Mortal Kombat 1?

Homelander was revealed to be a DLC character for Mortal Kombat 1 earlier in the year. A rough schedule for when each of the characters that are part of the first Season Pass will debut was revealed last month. Omni-Man came to the game earlier this month, while the DC antihero Peacemaker is set to arrive in winter 2023/2024. Homelander, the last of the three guest characters on the Season Pass, is set to arrive in spring 2024.

These three characters are accompanied by three playable characters from previous Mortal Kombat titles — Quan Chi, Ermac, and Takeda — as well as the Kameo characters Tremor, Ferra, Janet Cage, Khameleon, and Mavado.
