Marvel’s Midnight Suns Delayed To Second Half of 2022

One of the biggest Marvel video games on the horizon is Marvel’s Midnight Suns, which lets players fight alongside several Marvel superheroes as a new character called the Hunter. Unfortunately, the upcoming tactical RPG experience is hitting stores a bit later than expected. In a new statement shared via the game’s official Twitter page, the developers announced that Midnight Suns isn’t going to make its March 2022 release date. Instead, it will arrive sometime in the back half of next year.

News of the delay was shared by creative director Jake Solomon and senior franchise producer Garth DeAngelis. According to the duo, they need the extra time to fine-tune a number of details, including the story and cinematics. Check out what else they had to say below.

The developers also promised that “these extra months will be used to add more story, cinematics and overall polish and will be essential in helping us make our vision a reality.”

Midnight Suns will feature an unusual alliance between Marvel’s supernatural characters – including Blade, Ghost Rider, Magik, and Nico Minoru – with members of the Avengers and X-Men. Lilith, the Mother of Demons, is the primary villain, and she is also trying to bring the elder god, Chthon, to Earth. To stop her, the heroes resurrect Lilith’s long dead child, the Hunter. Prior to their demise, the Hunter was the only hero who defeated Lilith in the past. Gamers will be able to pick the Hunter’s gender and appearance in the game.
