Earlier this year, Ubisoft celebrated the 10th anniversary of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World by announcing that its video game tie-in will be available to download for the first time in six years. Now, the studio has shared when fans can stage their own rematches against Ramona Flowers’ evil exes. Gamers will be able to ring in the new year with their favorite characters from the film (and the comics that inspired it) when Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game – Complete Edition arrives on January 14, 2021.
Ubisoft originally premiered the game in 2010 to coincide with the release of Edgar Wright’s movie. It was available to play digitally on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. However, it was suddenly delisted from Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network in late 2014. Rumor has it that an expired license was to blame for the game’s disappearance.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game is now coming to PC, PS4, Stadia, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One. Since the game was released as an 8-bit side-scroller, the reissue probably won’t take advantage of the newer consoles’ improved graphics. Regardless, Ubisoft has added a few extras to sweeten the deal. The Complete Edition of the game comes with DLC packs that feature Knives Chau and Wallace Wells as playable characters. They also enable online multiplayer and include additional game modes like Battle Royal and Dodge Ball.
