A new cyborg is going to join the Mortal Kombat universe. NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced that metallic law enforcer RoboCop is going to lock horns soon with Liu Kang and the rest of the gang as a guest character in the upcoming Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath expansion.
This is hardly the first time a cyborg makes an appearance in the fantasy-themed fighting game franchise. Over the years, fans got to know cybernetic organisms such as Sektor, Cyrax, Jax Briggs, and many others. And after Mortal Kombat 11‘s official release, many guest characters have been added to the franchise like the Joker as well as Spawn, and The Terminator. Speaking of that last one, RoboCop and Skynet’s killing machine should now get the chance to face each other again for the first time since the RoboCop vs. Terminator comics and games.

NetherRealm Studios announced that Aftermath will feature a brand new Mortal Kombat storyline focused on Shang Tsung. The official synopsis reads:
“Fire God Liu Kang, the new keeper of time and protector of Earthrealm, must now enlist the help of unlikely allies and familiar foes to forge a new history as the fate of two worlds hang in the balance.“
