Batman: Caped Crusader Clip Previews Catwoman and Bruce Wayne’s Relationship

A new Batman: Caped Crusader clip is out, previewing the relationship between Catwoman and Bruce Wayne in the upcoming Prime Video series.

The new video comes from DiscussingFilm, and sees Selina Kyle/Catwoman (played by Christina Ricci) talking to Bruce Wayne (Hamish Linklater) at what looks to be an auction or museum. Kyle and Wayne flirt for a bit while Kyle jokes about her being the only woman Wayne hasn’t taken on a date yet.

Batman: Caped Crusader premieres on August 1, 2024, when all episodes will be available on Prime Video.

What is Batman: Caped Crusader about?

Batman: Caped Crusader stars Hamish Linklater in the titular role of the Dark Knight. Alongside Linklater, the series also features the voices of Jamie Chung, Christina Ricci, Diedrich Bader, Eric Morgan Stuart, Michelle C. Bonilla, and more.

“It is an all-new animated series and reimagining of the Batman mythology,” reads the logline. “Utilizing state-of-the-art animation techniques, this powerful creative partnership will once again reinvent the character and his iconic rogue’s gallery with sophisticated storytelling, nuanced characters, and intense action sequences, all set in a visually striking world.”

Batman: Caped Crusader hails from executive producers Bruce Timm (Batman: The Animated Series), J.J. Abrams (Star Trek, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker), and Matt Reeves (The Batman, The Penguin). Originally developed for Max, Amazon MGM Studios ultimately picked up the series for a two-season order last March 2023. Based on characters from DC, Batman: Caped Crusader is produced by Warner Bros. Animation, Bad Robot Productions, and 6th & Idaho, with Ed Brubaker and Sam Register executive producing.
