What is Gen V about?

Gen V serves as a spin-off to Prime Video’s The Boys. Set in between the events of The Boys’ third and upcoming fourth season, Gen V takes place on a college campus for superheroes called Godolkin University. Sinclair plays a new student, Marie Moreau, who is struggling to get ahold of her powers while she and her friends also uncover a major conspiracy involving some of the college’s administrators.

In addition to the aforementioned cast, Gen V stars Shelley Conn, Sean Patrick Thomas, Clancy Brown, Alexander Calvert, and Derek Wilson.

On October 19, 2023, Gen V was officially renewed for a second season.

“Expanding the universe of The Boys with a series as bold as Gen V has been an incredible journey for us and our wonderful partners at Sony,” Vernon Sanders, Amazon MGM Studios’ head of television, said in a statement. “From our first conversation with showrunners Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters, along with Eric Kripke, Evan Goldberg, and Seth Rogen, we knew Gen V would push the boundaries. Their unapologetic approach is exactly what audiences love, and it has helped Gen V become the No. 1 series on Prime Video in over 130 countries. Gen V is Prime Video’s most acquisitive new Original series of 2023, and we’re excited that our incredible cast and crew are going to continue telling brave and bold stories from Gen ’ to our customers.”

The first six episodes of Gen V are currently streaming on Prime Video. The season’s penultimate episode releases on October 27, 2023, before the finale drops on November 3, 2023.
