Next Monday, Netflix will celebrate this year’s edition of “Geeked Week” by rolling out previews for its upcoming slate of genre films and TV shows. The jam-packed programming list notably includes our first look at Wednesday, the new Addams Family spinoff featuring Jenna Ortega in the title role. Now, with only a few days left until we see Ortega’s spin on the iconic character, Netflix has launched official Twitter and Instagram accounts for the upcoming series. They also shared a new promo featuring another classic Addams Family fixture: Thing. Check it out below.
Wednesday might be scariest take on the Addams Family that we’ve seen yet, because the sentient severed hand looks a lot worse for wear than it has in previous incarnations. In this version, Thing has scars all over his “body,” and his fingernails are caked with dirt and grime. It’s only a small tease, but it sounds like there’s a lot more on the way. Using his own brand of sign language, Thing lets us know that the first trailer for Wednesday will hit the web on June 6.
