After getting ditched by Marc Spector and Khonshu, Layla El-Faouly meets with a contact and gets a new Egyptian passport. Meanwhile, Arthur Harrow and his acolytes use the scarab to find Ammitt’s tomb in Egypt. Elsewhere, Steven Grant is forced to watch from inside Marc’s mind as he pursues Harrow’s agents. However, both Marc and Steven are stunned when they blackout and discover that someone else took over their body and murdered Harrow’s men. In the comics, Moon Knight’s third personality is Jake Lockley, and this could be the show’s way of introducing him.

Out of desperation, Marc asks Khonshu if the other gods will help them prevent Ammit’s release. Khonshu is wary of the idea, but he forces the gods to convene by triggering an eclipse. Once the call has gone out, Marc goes through a portal to the Chamber of the Gods and meets the other avatars. However, the avatars of Horus, Isis, Tefnut, Osiris, and Hathor are more angry about Khonshu’s actions than anything else. They also warn Khonshu that they will imprison him if he tries another stunt like that.
Through Marc, Khonshu angrily replies that he was already banished because he refused to turn his back on humanity. Harrow is summoned to answer Khonshu’s charges against Ammit, but he turns the table by accusing Khonshu of taking advantage of Marc’s personality disorder. Harrow also contends that Khonshu might be insane as well, and he urges the gods to take action against him. Despite Marc and Khonshu’s pleas, the gods release Harrow without incident. But one of the avatars, Yatzil, tells Marc that he can find Ammit’s tomb if he locates Senfu’s sarcophagus.

Shortly thereafter, Marc reunites with Layla and shares his intel with her. At Layla’s suggestion, they approach her friend, Anton Mogart, a wealthy collector and the current owner of the sarcophagus. However, Marc and Layla quickly wear out their welcome even before Harrow and his men arrive. Harrow also courts dissent between Marc and Layla by implying that Marc was involved with her father’s murder. To further his own agenda, Harrow also destroys the sarcophagus. In the melee that follows, both Marc and Steven briefly control their body and their respective suits.
Regardless of the tension between them, Layla and Marc escape. She tells Marc that they need Steven to decipher the info they found at the sarcophagus. Reluctantly, Marc relinquishes control to Steven, who quickly figures out the star chart…which is over 2,000 years out of date. Khonshu appears and says that he remembers the specific night from the star chart, and he can turn back the sky. Khonshu warns Steven that Marc will have have to rescue him after their task is finished. Together, they shift the position of the stars in the sky, which is visible throughout Egypt. The gods immediately retaliate by imprisoning Khonshu in stone. Layla successfully locates the tomb, but Khonshu is gone and Steven is unconscious in the aftermath.
