After numerous teases that involved showing us the Master Chief and not much else, Paramount+ finally unleashed the Flood-gates. It’s been a long, long wait, but a mega-budget, live-action Halo will at last grace our screens starting March 24th. And today’s trailer gives us a sense of the plot, too, with Master Chief’s superiors possibly becoming as much of a threat to him as the Covenant Arbiters and the Flood. And yes, both of those threats look alive and well here too. Along with a more-clothed-than-usual Cortana.

Paramount’s official synopsis says that “HALO will take place in the universe that first came to be in 2001 with the launch of Xbox’s first Halo game.” However, they also confirmed that it will create a separate continuity not beholden to the events of the games. The show “will weave deeply drawn personal stories with action, adventure and a richly imagined vision of the future.”
