Hawkeye Episode 4 Promo Reveals a New Masked Character

After last week’s two-episode premiere, Hawkeye returned to Disney+ yesterday with an action-packed hour filled with trick arrows, family heartbreak, and Pizza Dogs. But it looks like the real action is still to come. Now that the series has reached its halfway mark, Marvel has released a brand new Hawkeye promo that teases the arrival of another masked adversary. Hawkeye episode 4 promo.

The clip is largely a montage of scenes from the show’s first three episodes. However, the last shot reveals a mysterious figure dressed in a balaclava and night vision goggles. There’s a good chance that this is none other than Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, who recently appeared in Black Widow and whose Hawkeye casting was confirmed last year. In the film’s post-credits scene, Valentina Allegra de Fontaine told Yelena that Clint Barton was responsible for Natasha’s death, thereby setting up her appearance on the series. So there will likely be a high-stakes showdown between Pugh and Jeremy Renner in the weeks ahead.

But even if Yelena isn’t under that mask, this new assailant is the last thing Clint and Kate Bishop need. Between Echo’s Tracksuit Mafia and whatever conspiracy Jack Duquesne is mixed up in, the two archers have enough challenges to contend with as it is. Regardless, there’s still the matter of Echo and Kazi’s “uncle,” who was also teased in episode 3. The character’s heavyset frame has led some fans to theorize that Vincent D’Onofrio is finally reprising his Daredevil role as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin on the show. But for now, this is only speculation.

The fourth episode of Hawkeye hits Disney+ next Wednesday, December 8.
