Dark Horse Announces The Art of Masters of the Universe: Revelation

This month, Netflix will head back to Eternia for the conclusion to Masters of the Universe: Revelation’s first season. The show’s future beyond the upcoming episodes is still up in the air. However, a deep dive into its production is currently in the works. Dark Horse Books and Mattel have just announced The Art of Masters of the Universe: Revelation, a new book that explores the making of the series. You can view the full cover below.

The book will be presented as an “oversized hardcover” that includes “detailed explorations into your favorite visual aspects” of the show. Readers will take a closer look at Powerhouse Animation Studios’ design process from early concept illustrations to the finished product. Additionally, fans can expect “extensive looks” at the myriad locations that appear on the series.

Presumably, the book also features commentary from some of Revelation’s other creative powerhouses. That includes showrunner Kevin Smith and executive producer Rob David. We might also learn new insights from cast members like Chris Wood (He-Man), Sarah Michelle Gellar (Teela), and Mark Hamill (Skeletor). All this and (likely) more will be available for the modest price of $49.99 wherever books are sold. Dark Horse also announced that Revelation‘s comic book prequel will come out as one volume on February 22, 2022.

The Art of Masters of the Universe: Revelation will hit stores on April 6, 2022. Part 2 of the series hits Netflix on November 23.
