Earlier this week, Batwoman season 3 began on The CW. However, that doesn’t mean the show can’t take part in this weekend’s DC FanDome. And while there aren’t too many surprises in store for the series today, the producers are focusing on season 3’s unlikely partnership.
In a new season 3 trailer, semi-reformed villain Alice (Rachel Skarsten) is forced to work with her former rival, Batwoman/Ryan Wilder (Javicia Leslie). Alice doesn’t have the same deep connection with Ryan that she did with her sister, Kate Kane. Regardless, Alice is still going to be a thorn in Batwoman’s side during their new partnership.

Additionally, the Batwoman creative team released a second video during DC FanDome. In this clip, Camrus Johnson walks viewers through the emergence of Batwing. Surprisingly, Johnson goes into some of the comic book details that were left out of the show. That includes mentioning the original Batwing, David Zavimbe.
On this series, Johnson’s Luke Fox becomes Batwing after discovering that his late father, Lucius Fox, created the suit years before. Now, he’s Batwoman’s more stable partner, as opposed to Alice’s insanity.
The second episode of Batwoman season 2 will premiere on Tuesday, October 20 on The CW.
