Marvel’s Hawkeye Series Gets November Release Date

It appears that the next series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has finally got a release date. The new adventures of Hawkeye and Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop will debut on Disney+ on Nov. 24 (via EW). As with Loki, each episode will debut on Wednesday, which serves Marvel’s interests more than Fridays. In addition to exploring the titular character’s time as Ronin, the series will also officially introduce Kate Bishop’s character in the MCU. Considering that Clint Barton will likely leave the scene sooner or later, the story will follow Kate’s path to take over Hawkeye’s legacy.

In the meantime, fans also got some tidbits about what’s coming their way in the series. In a recent interview, actor Jeremy Renner opened up about how Kate Bishop idolizes her mentor, Hawkeye.

“[Kate is] a 22-year-old kid and she’s a big Hawkeye fan,” Renner said while talking with EW. “She has a wonderfully annoying and equally charming manner about her, because she’s such a fangirl of Hawkeye. The relationship grows from that, but the biggest problem for Clint is Kate Bishop and the onslaught of problems that she brings into his life.”

And speaking of mentoring, it appears that Renner had a mentor role on-screen and off-screen. He claimed that he gave Steinfeld a few Cliffs Notes on how she should deal with the superhero life on set. “I just wanted to protect her, because there’s a lot of physical stuff,” he notes.
