In the Marvel Universe, the most powerful words are What If…?. In the late ’70s and beyond the What If? comic explored alternate worlds where tragedies were averted. However, it also explored timelines where Marvel’s heroes failed. Regardless, of the outcome, Uatu, the Watcher, introduced fans to a new world in every issue. And next month, Marvel Studios’ What If…? is coming to Disney+.
Disney+ has dropped a new trailer for What If…? which features Jeffrey Wright as Uatu. It also spotlights Eric Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan) as he unintentionally changes Iron Man’s history. Additionally, Chadwick Boseman’s final performance as T’Challa shows us a world where he never became Black Panther. Instead, T’Challa joined Yondu’s Ravagers as a new Star-Lord.

Here’s the official description from Marvel Studios and Disney+:
“What If… ?” features fan-favorite characters, including Peggy Carter, T’Challa, Doctor Strange, Killmonger, Thor and more. The new series, directed by Bryan Andrews with AC Bradley as head writer, features signature MCU action with a curious twist.”
What If…? will premiere on Disney+ on Wednesday, August 11. New episodes will follow every Wednesday thereafter until the end of the season.
