John Cho’s injury on the set of Cowboy Bebop set the adaptation back a year. However, it’s finally on the horizon. As part of Geeked Week, Netflix revealed that Cowboy Bebop will finally debut this fall. Additionally, Netflix announced that Yoko Kanno will provide the music for the series. Kanno was the original composer for the Cowboy Bebop anime series, which also set the tone for the show.
Cho will headline the series as Spike, the leader of a group of intergalactic bounty hunters. Daniella Pineda co-stars as Faye Valentine, with Mustafa Shakir as Jet Black. As part of the announcement, Cho, Pineda, and Shakir got their groove on to “Tank,” Kano’s theme for the anime.
