In just under three weeks, Loki will debut on Disney+. That’s a neat trick considering that Tom Hiddleston’s God of Mischief perished in the opening minutes of Avengers: Infinity War. But an alternate version of Loki escaped Avengers: Endgame with his life. However, the surviving Loki may come to regret that after getting involved with the Time Variance Authority.
To promote the upcoming original series, Disney+ has released a new video featuring Hiddleston revisiting Loki’s MCU history. Regardless of his promise to do so in 30 seconds, let’s just say that Hiddleston doesn’t mind playing with time…as long as it’s in his favor.

Owen Wilson co-stars in the series as TVA Agent Mobius M. Mobius, the man who spares Loki’s life and recruits him as well. Gugu Mbatha-Raw also stars in the series as Ravonna Lexus Renslayer, a TVA judge, with Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15. Additionally, Richard E. Grant, Sophia Di Martino, Sasha Lane, Erika Coleman, and Eugene Cordero have undisclosed roles on the show.
Here’s the official synopsis from Disney+ and Marvel Studios:
“Picking up immediately after Loki steals the Tesseract (again), he finds himself called before the Time Variance Authority, a bureaucratic organization that exists outside of time and space, forced to answer for his crimes against the timeline and given a choice: face deletion from reality or assist in catching an even greater threat.”
Loki will premiere on Disney+ on Wednesday, June 9.
