Last month, Netflix finally revealed the first look at the highly-anticipated second season of Love, Death + Robots. The trailer featured footage from brand new animated shorts. However, it didn’t exactly showcase the adult-oriented tone that the series was praised for when it debuted in 2019. Thankfully, Netflix has provided a simple fix to that problem. A new red-band preview for Love, Death + Robots Volume 2 has found its way online, this time offering a better look at what grown-up viewers can expect from the new season.
The latest preview is less than a minute long. Regardless, it still contains a decent amount of new scenes from the series. And of course, its red-band label makes it easier to let the f-bombs fly. There’s also plenty of violence, with characters getting limbs shot off or just exploding into a bloody mess.

As with Love, Death + Robots’ first season, the producers recruited several different animation studios to develop new episodes for the series (including creator Tim Miller’s own Blur Studio), with styles ranging everywhere from simple 2D animation to photorealistic CGI. Additionally, many of the shorts are adapted from the work of sci-fi giants like Harlan Ellison and J.G. Ballard.
Love, Death + Robots Volume 2 hits Netflix on May 14. Netflix has also ordered a third season of the show, set to drop in 2022.
