Vought International’s college for up-and-coming superheroes has found a new recruit. According to Deadline, Reina Hardesty has joined the cast of Amazon’s upcoming The Boys spinoff series. Details are slim, but she’s definitely playing another young supe-in-training on the show.
Announced back in September, the new series will primarily take place at a Vought-backed facility where a new generation of supes learn to harness their powers (and, of course, make more money for the evil corporation at the center of The Boys universe). Craig Rosenberg is writing the spinoff, which also features The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke as an executive producer. Point Grey Pictures’ Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver are executive producing as well.
The series’ creators previously cast Lizzie Broadway and Jaz Sinclair as other young supes named Emma and Marie, respectively. More unnamed characters will be played by Shane Paul McGhie, Aimee Carrero, and Maddie Phillips. Amazon hasn’t announced an official title for the spinoff. However, the logline continues to describe it as “Part college show, part Hunger Games,” and it will feature all of the raunchy humor that fans of the flagship series have come to expect.

Hardesty has some experience with superhero shows. Previously, she made several appearances on The Flash as Joss Mardon/Weather Witch. She later returned to play the character on an episode of Legends of Tomorrow for The CW’s Crisis on Infinite Earths event. More recently, Hardesty played a recurring role on the final season of IFC’s Brockmire.
Amazon still hasn’t announced a premiere date for The Boys spinoff. But according to Deadline’s report, the show is “nearing a formal greenlight.”
