Florence Pugh, Vera Farmiga, Tony Dalton, and More Join Hawkeye Series

Earlier this week, Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld were seen shooting scenes as Clint Barton and Kate Bishop in Disney+’s Hawkeye series. And now, a new report has shed some additional light on the rest of the cast.

Variety is reporting that Florence Pugh will reprise her role as Yelena Belova/Black Widow from the Black Widow movie. Vera Farmiga and Tony Dalton have also been added to the cast in pivotal roles. Farmiga, a veteran of The Conjuring films, Bates Motel, and Godzilla: King of the Monsters, will play Eleanor Bishop, Kate’s mother. Dalton (Better Call Saul) is portraying Hawkeye’s mentor, Jack Duquesne. In the comics, Jacques Duquesne trained Hawkeye and took on the role of Swordsman, a villain who later turned hero and joined the Avengers.

Additionally, Alaqua Cox will play Maya Lopez, aka the deaf heroine known as Echo. This will also be Cox’s first-ever screen credit. Fra Free has been cast as Kazi, and Variety speculates that his role is an incarnation of Clown/Kazimierz Kazimierczak.

Zahn McClarnon also co-stars as William Lopez, Maya’s father, and possibly a new version of Willie “Crazy Horse” Lincoln.

Jonathan Igla is writing and executive producing the Hawkeye series. Disney+ and Marvel haven’t currently set a date for its release.
