In just under a month, The Boys will return to Amazon Prime for its second season. And to set the stage, Amazon has released two new preview scenes from the upcoming season. The first scene follows up a previously released sequence in which The Boys went up against The Deep. Butcher decided to ram his ship into one of The Deep’s whales.
Shortly thereafter, Homelander, Starlight, and the rest of The Seven show up on the hunt for The Boys. However, The Deep is inconsolable over the whale’s fate. He also tries to gain Starlight’s forgiveness and reenter The Seven. But it’s going to take more than a dead whale to make that happen.

Additionally, The Boys‘ Facebook account dropped another scene from the second episode of the season. Butcher’s return to the team gets some push back from Hughie, who hasn’t forgotten that Butcher didn’t even try to save the team in the first season finale. Regardless, no one, not even Hughie, can fully stand up to Butcher. He regained control of the team the second he walked in the door.
The Boys season 2 will premiere on September 4. You can watch the second preview scene below.
