Invincible Animated Series Adds 6 Walking Dead Veterans To Voice Cast

Robert Kirkman’s upcoming Invincible animated series on Amazon Prime was already a reunion of The Walking Dead stars. Steven  Yeun is headlining the series as Mark Grayson/Invincible, while Khary Payton joined the cast in an undisclosed voice role. Now, via Deadline, Kirkman has revealed that 6 Walking Dead veterans have also joined the show. Collectively, they will provide the voices of the Guardians of the Globe, a Justice League-like team of heroes.

During his Comic-Con@Home panel, Kirkman announced that Chad Coleman will portray Martian Man, with Sonequa Martin-Green as Green Ghost, and Michael Cudlitz as Red Rush. Lauren Cohan also lends her voice as War Woman, alongside Lennie James’ Darkwing. Ross Marquand will actually have two roles on the show: The Immortal and Aquarius.

Deadpool 2 standout Zazie Beetz will portray Mark’s ex-girlfriend, Amber Bennett; with Gillian Jacobs as Atom Eve, a superheroine who has Mark’s heart. Additionally, Seth Rogen will voice Allen the Alien, with Jason Mantzoukas as Rex Splode, and Walton Goggins as Cecil Stedman.

Mark Hamill will also have a role in the series as Art, a tailor who creates costumes for superheroes. Andrew Rannells will step into the role of William Clockweel, Mark’s best friend.

The original Invincible comic book ran from 2003 to 2017, with 144 issues. The series was notable for its unflinching violence and adult themes, both of which will be retained in Amazon’s adaptation. However, Amazon has yet to announce a premiere date for the eight-episode first season.
