TNT has released a brand new trailer for the upcoming Snowpiercer series. The trailer focuses mainly on Jennifer Connelly’s Melanie Cavill, who seems to be a sort of black sheep among her peer first-class passengers. The reason? Her interest in the lower class passengers like Daveed Diggs’s Layton Well. It will be up to the latter to light the fire that will undermine the train’s current social order.
To clarify the timeframe, a Snowpiercer timeline image has made its way online. The timeline shows that the upcoming post-apocalyptic dystopian series is set eight years before the events of Bong Joon Ho movie. And the movie told a separate story from the original comics. This revelation comes unexpectedly, since most of the media thought this was a reboot and not just a prequel. At the same time, it might open the door to some interesting references.

The official synopsis reads as follows:
