TNT has just debuted a new trailer for the upcoming Snowpiercer series. The trailer features some fresh footage from the story of the never-stopping train. So far, we know that the series is a reboot of 2013’s movie, based on a French comic, directed by Academy Award-winning director Bong Joon-ho. The story takes place seven years after an apocalyptic event that transformed the Earth into a frozen wasteland.
The trailer reveals also a bit more about the rail-bound society run by Wilford Industries. The status quo is based on work, honor, and order. But this idyllic three-fold order is going to be dismantled soon enough. A revolution is starting from the back of the train, home to the working class and the poor. A leader will rise among them, and wagon by wagon he will aim for the head of the train.
Given the premise and the fact that the current global emergency won’t allow much fresh content to start production, Snowpiercer is, at the moment, one of the most interesting projects coming in Spring 2020.
