Game of Thrones Showrunners Will Make a Cameo in Westworld Season 3

HBO will soon embrace once again Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss, even though only as actors this time. According to a report by Entertainment Weekly, the duo will make a brief appearance in the second episode of Westworld Season 3. The report does not reveal too much about their cameo, except that they will portray a couple of technicians at Delos.

The forthcoming season of Westworld will follow the adventures of Evan Rachel Wood’s Dolores Abernathy outside of the nefarious theme-park. Many details about the next season of the show are still shrouded in mystery, though. The upcoming Westworld Episode 3.02 will air on March 22. The synopsis of “The Winter Line” reads as follows:

“People put up a lot of walls. Bring a sledgehammer to your life.”

Newcomers for the series include Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad), Lena Waithe (Ready Player One), with NFL player Marshawn Lynch, and Vincent Cassel (Eastern Promises). They join Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Luke Hemsworth, Talulah Riley as well as Rodrigo Santoro and Sir Anthony Hopkins in the series.

A dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the birth of a new form of life on Earth, the Emmy-winning Westworld was created by Jonathan Nolan together with Lisa Joy. The duo also executive produce with J.J. Abrams, Richard J. Lewis, Roberto Patino, as well as Athena Wickham and Ben Stephenson.

Westworld comes from production companies Kilter Films and Bad Robot Productions together with Warner Bros. Television. The series is based on the film written by Michael Crichton.
