Tom Holland Wants To Bring Spider-Man Into WandaVision

Later this year, Tom Holland is expected to begin filming his third Spider-Man movie for Sony and Marvel Studios. However, if Holland had his way, he’d return to the MCU much sooner than that. Via Heroic Hollywood, Holland recently spoke to MTV News and shared his desire to join Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany in WandaVision. That series will reunite Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch and Vision despite his death in Avengers: Infinity War. The previews imply that Wanda may be losing her mind as she envisions herself with Vision in sitcom-like settings. Regardless of what’s happening in that show, Holland wants in.

“I think the WandaVision show looks really cool,” said Holland. “It looks very stylistic, it almost looks like a bit of a sitcom with the way they’ve shot it. I don’t really understand what is going on but it looks really cool. Paul and Elizabeth are like two of the nicest people I know and I would love to work with them some more and get to know them a little bit better. So if I could put Spider-Man in the WandaVision show that’d be great Kevin Feige, so if you want to do that you know my number.”

It’s actually unclear if Marvel Studios could put Spider-Man into WandaVision even if the desire was there. The current contract calls for one more Spider-Man movie and a separate MCU film to be named later. The possibility of Spidey making any TV appearances wasn’t even brought up in the news reports. So it seems fairly unlikely to happen regardless of Holland’s wishes.

WandaVision will hit Disney+ in December. The third MCU Spider-Man movie will follow in July 2021.
