The Flash always has to die in Crisis on Infinite Earths. Fortunately, there’s a spare Flash! John Wesley Shipp first played Barry Allen nearly 30 years ago on CBS’ The Flash. That was just a few years after the Crisis comic was published. If Crisis on Infinite Earths is the last time that Shipp’s Flash appears, then that was a worthy send off. The score’s callback to Danny Elfman’s Flash theme was also a masterful touch.
Now that Crisis on Infinite Earths has reached its midpoint, we want to hear what the Superhero Hype community thinks about it! Let’s start with Ashley Scott’s Huntress cameo, which ran about as long as Birds of Prey lasted on The WB. Tom Ellis’ cameo as Lucifer was a lot more fun, even if it was also brief. Additionally, Cress Williams brought a lot of gravitas as Black Lightning. There may even be a way for Oliver Queen to live on past his death as the new Spectre.
