Andrzej Sapkowski’s popular fantasy novel franchise, The Witcher, is heading to Netflix next month for its first season. However, Netflix isn’t waiting around before diving into the further adventures of Geralt of Rivia. Lauren S. Hissrich, the showrunner of the series, has announced that The Witcher season 2 is already a go at Netflix. She also expressed her pride for what her team has already accomplished with the series.

Superman veteran Henry Cavill will play Geralt, a witcher who has trained nearly his entire life to hone his powers and hunt monsters. However, Geralt’s powers also make him an outcast among humans. Anya Chalotra also stars in The Witcher as Yennefer of Vengerberg, with Freya Allan as a fan favorite heroine, Princess Ciri. Additionally, Jodhi May appears as Queen Calanthe, alongside Björn Hlynur Haraldsson as King Eist Tuirseach, Adam Levy as Mousesack, MyAnna Buring as Tissaia de Vries, Mimi Ndiweni as Fringilla Vigo, Therica Wilson-Read as Sabrina Glevissig, and Emma Appleton as Princess Renfri.
The Witcher season 1 will hit Netflix on Friday, December 20.
