Greg Berlanti Reveals Timeline of Batwoman Pilot

The CW Orders the Arrowverse Batwoman TV Series

For the last few years, The CW has dramatically increased its superhero series. Now, that trend will continue with Batwoman. At The CW 2019 upfronts, the network officially ordered Batwoman to series. That will make it the fourth spinoff from Arrow; which also spawned The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. The Supergirl series debuted on CBS before officially joining the Arrowverse late in its first season.

Ruby Rose made her first appearance as Kate Kane/Batwoman during the Elseworlds crossover last year. Now that Batwoman is going forward, it is the first superhero series to feature a LGBT main character and actress as the primary lead. The pilot episode will take place prior to the crossover episodes. However, there’s still the potential for Batwoman to take part in the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover later this year.
