Comic-Con fans will get a first-ever look at Paramount Pictures’/Lakeshore Entertainment’s sci-fi thriller Aeon Flux when Charlize Theron leads a panel at Comic-Con International, joined by co-star Marton Csokas, director Karyn Kusama, producers Gale Anne Hurd and David Gale, and “Aeon Flux” creator Peter Chung. The panel will be in Hall H on Saturday, July 16th; Paramount’s Comic-Con presentation begins at 11:45 with a fifteen-minute appearance by Pablo Helman, visual effects supervisor of War of the Worlds, followed by a 45-minute Aeon Flux panel.
Gale Anne Hurd said, “We’re thrilled to be presenting ‘Aeon Flux’ to the fans at Comic-Con. This loyal audience has been one of the strongest supporters of ‘Aeon Flux’ since its inception on MTV and we’re so excited to present the first images of the film to them.”
David Gale added, “We at MTV feel Charlize embodies the character of Aeon Flux perfectly. We’re delighted to be presenting Charlize to the Comic-Con audience — an audience that’s been the core fan base for ‘Aeon Flux’ for many years.”
In this futuristic sci-fi thriller set 400 years in the future, Charlize Theron stars as Aeon Flux, the top underground operative at war with the totalitarian regime governing what appears to be a perfect society. But is this perfect life hiding a perfect lie? Aeon is on the front lines of a rebellion that will reveal a world of secrets. A startling vision of a future in flux from Karyn Kusama, director of the acclaimed Girlfight, Aeon Flux is written by Phil Hay & Matt Manfredi, based upon characters created by Peter Chung in the pioneering MTV animated series.
