The official website for the Cannes Film Festival has posted a first look at the trailer for director David Cronenberg’s A History of Violence, starring Viggo Mortensen, Ed Harris, Maria Bello and William Hurt.
In the September 30 thriller, Mortensen stars as a pillar of a small town community who runs a diner and lives a happy and quiet life with his wife (Bello) and two children. But their lives are forever changed when Mortensen thwarts an attempted robbery and is lauded as a hero by the media, attracting the attention of some mobsters (Hurt and Harris) who believe he is someone else.
