‘Anonymous’ scanned this first picture of Alan Cumming on the set of The Son of the Mask from the Sunday Telegraph. The film was being shot yesterday (January 17) on York St., in Sydney’s CBD says the trade.
Hollywood props transformed one of Sydney’s busiest streets for filming on the sequel, which stars Jamie Kennedy and is released on October 15. “The movie’s another adventure within the mask,” Kennedy said. “I’m not playing Jim Carrey’s character, I’m playing the next guy who finds the mask.”
The sequel revolves around young cartoonist Tim (Kennedy) who acquires the mask of Loki (Cumming). Nine months later Tim and wife Tonya, played by Traylor Howard, are the parents of a bouncing baby boy, Alvey. But thanks to the mask, Alvey’s no ordinary baby, and when its owners, Loki and Odin (Bob Hoskins), want the mask back, all hell breaks loose.
