Marvel’s What If…? Season 3 is nearing its release date and has finally rolled out the titles of its episodes. The animated series, which made its small-screen debut in 2021, is one of the few MCU shows that has managed to garner a positive response from audiences. As such, fans are eager to know what alternate scenarios the series will explore next. Considering the recently revealed titles of What If…? Season 3 episodes, viewers finally have some idea regarding what to expect in the show’s final outing.
Marvel’s What If…? Season 3 Episode titles revealed
Marvel unveiled the names of the What If…? chapters for its third installment on its official social media page. Alongside the titles, the entertainment juggernaut also disclosed the release date for each of the eight upcoming episodes.
The Instagram post reveals that the debut episode of What If…? Season 3 will carry the title, “What If… The Hulk Fought The Mech Avengers?” While the name itself appears to be self-explanatory, it confirms a battle between mechanized suit-wielding Avengers and a villainous variant of Hulk, as seen in the trailer.
One of the most intriguing title reveals for What If…? Season 3’s roster, however, was that of Episode 5, which deals with an alternate take on the ending of Eternals. In the 2021 movie, fans saw how the titular group of superheroes thwarted Arishem’s plan to destroy the planet in order to facilitate the birth of Tiamut, a new celestial. The phenomenon, known as the Emergence, will now be explored in the ultimate edition of the animated series.
As for the remaining titles, one What If…? Season 3 episode would see Agatha Harkness venture into Hollywood. Another would showcase an encounter between the Red Guardian and the Winter Soldier. Then, viewers will also seemingly get to see the bizarre wedding of Howard the Duck and Darcy Lewis.
Meanwhile, Episodes 6 and 7 would cover an 1872-dated event and Uatu’s disappearance, respectively. The eighth episode of What If…? Season 3 is craftily titled “What If…?,” revealing no plot detail of the finale.
What If…? Season 3 drops on Disney+ on December 22, with a new episode to be released every other day until December 29.
